So I took some time off to think…
I do my best thinking when I am alone—usually I go to the Holiday Inn in Lexington, get a “King Leisure Suite” and just “stew” for a couple days. I read, cruise the net, play my guitar. I get the creative juices flowing. I cover the walls of the suite with pieces of huge paper and write down every thought I have. This is how I come up with my best ideas.
Out of that time, I came to a startling discovery…

It was simply one of those cases of “unconscious competence”—I really didn’t know that I knew. I realized that I and every other successful person online were already doing this—and it costs us nothing in overhead. Zero, nada, zilch.
Once I realized what I was doing every day without even thinking about it, I started writing.
